Food was very good and service was friendly. We arrived about an hour before breakfast was over but the place was busy, so by the time we got seated, we could no longer get breakfast. This pissed me off, it would have been nice to have a heads up that this may happen. We will return but ....

After morning walk, wanted something healthy and light. I immediately thought of East Shore cafe. They always have a daily quiche and fresh fruit and it is always superb! We were greeted with a hello immediately entering and our service was excellent. The place is a little old cottage that has been turned into a restaurant decorated like you were in England. I love this place for breakfast but be mindful that arrive early or be prepared to wait that later in the morning, as it is very popular. Enjoy

A great lunch spot , serves dinner Friday and Saturday evenings. Good food and reasonable prices. One of our favorite spots.

Ahh, this place is so adorable and cozy. When my family and I arrived, we initially came in through the ice cream shop and sat in the seating area toward the back. After a few minutes of sitting, an employee so graciously let us know that we needed to go to the front to order and be seated. She walked us to the front. They give huge portions for the price. For three people, we paid $40 for full meals and cookies. Don't get me started on the cookies!!!! Wow! Just wow! They were so good. We had a huge chocolate chip one and a couple of "Kitchen sink" cookies with chocolate chips, walnuts or pecans (don't really recall), coconut, and something else lol. They were divine! The cafe is an old house. Very southern. Very historic. Very quaint with lots of character. My family and I really enjoyed the food, aesthetics and the Southern hospitality.

TL;DR: Cute and casual cafe that isn't too fussy or takes itself too seriously serving tasty food. 3.5-4 After driving through Daphne, we decided to stop for lunch. A quick Yelp/Google search showed the three-highest-rated restaurants were all nearby, and East Shore Cafe was literally the first restaurant we spotted. East Shore Cafe was super easy to get to and park. We were a little confused about where to walk in as they'd just opened an ice cream parlor attached to the restaurant, but we followed the Jack Sparrow statue to the front porch. Yes, a literal front porch because the cafe is housed in a converted residential property (there's even a tub in the bathroom). Hey--they've clearly made it work! We arrived after the lunch rush so we didn't have to wait for a table. We ordered the honey pecan chicken salad sandwich and the special of the day, which was a spicy pepper jack chicken melt on jalapeño bread. The honey pecan chicken salad could have used more honey and pecans and the spicy chicken could have been spicier for our liking, but overall everything was tasty and we would definitely go back if we're ever in the area again.

Delicious! Lots of outdoor shaded seating. Large menu. Thanks for a terrific lunch with my mom.

There are relatively few places to eat in Daphne that aren't chains, and this is one of the best non-chain restaurantsin town, especially if you're looking for more than fried stuff or regular homecooking. They put a twist with their recipes that go beyond ordinary, without being weird. Nice location in old downtown. Parking is limited but do-able.

I wish we could give .5 scores. I would give this a 4.5. Was looking for a quaint place and this did not disappoint. Beautiful house turned restaurant. Pictures all around and very clean. The service was exceptional. A team of people took care of me. All extremely friendly. All kinds of breakfast food. Got the traditional French toast with a side of grits. Saw across the way a guy who had biscuit with white sausage gravy. So had to try it. The French toast was great and the biscuit was equally incredible. The biscuit was flaky and fresh and the sausage gravy was so good. Had a large orange juice as well that was in a chilled glass. So good.

We love stopping in small town restaurants when we're on the road. We were hoping to find something light and not too heavy for a good lunch meal and we lucked out with East shore Cafe. This is probably the best chicken salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread I've ever had. The potato salad tasted like it had hints of horseradish and it was absolutely delicious. If you're anywhere in this area you need to make it a point to swing by here and try that sandwich, you won't regret it.
